Free BenJamin is a Washington, D.C.-based graphic designer, fine artist, singer, and songwriter. She has been drawing and making music since childhood, believing that music and visual art have the power to heal, uplift, and inspire. Her graphic design portfolio spans magazines, CD covers, brochures, posters, marketing materials, books, advertisements, and web graphics.
She has worked with an impressive roster of clients, including BZB International, Iyanla Vanzant, Tony Browder/IKG Cultural Resource Center, Sweet Honey In The Rock, Dick Gregory, Marita Golden, NSBE, and District of Columbia Government.
Beyond design, Free expresses herself through soulful, downbeat, folksy acoustic music, performing with her guitars “free,” “chi spirit,” and “chi royal.” Her artistic mission is to create and share messages of love, unity, and positive energy through music and visual expression.
